Locum -Sonographer

Sonographer – Wonthaggi Hospital 

Wonthaggi Hospital services the Bass Coast and South Gippsland shire communities and offers a range of services, including Pathology, Acute Ward, Radiology, Theatre and Maternity. The Imaging Associates team is excited by the opportunity to provide radiology services to the community in this region and seek to engage a highly qualified and dedicated radiography team providing a range of high-quality imaging services.

We are looking for an experienced Sonographer to provide a wide range of ultrasound services at Wonthaggi Hospital, including general abdominal, gynaecologic, small parts, vascular and MSK imaging. You will manage a varied caseload, providing high quality sonographic examinations to a broad patient mix ensuring patient comfort, welfare, and safety in line with established practice, policies, and procedures. 

We are seeking passionate and patient-focused Locum - Sonographers to be part of IA from August/September (24th Aug - 18th Sep) and November (9th - 27th) based out of Cowes & Wonthaggi.

What will your new role look like?

You will join an experienced clinical team who are driven to provide a varied case range of high quality and efficient ultrasound imaging services to our patients. You will work collaboratively with our Radiologists, technicians, and clinical staff to ensure that our ultrasound service offering is provided in a professional, respectful, and compassionate way to our patients.

What experience do I have?

• Competency in Ultrasound working within a busy Medical Imaging department
• Proven experience across a range of ultrasound services
• A patient-focused approach and commitment to quality outcomes
• Ability to drive projects and work independently in a busy hospital setting  
• ASAR accredited 
• Hold a recognised qualification in Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound
• Have availability to work across a Monday – Saturday (AM only) roster 
• Full work rights in Australia
